Garmin inReach Mini 2 is a compact satellite communicator that provides global satellite coverage and interactive SOS alerts. It allows two-way messaging and location sharing even without cellphone coverage. The device is compatible with the Garmin Explore app, which aids in navigation, waypoints, activities, and trip planning. The device also offers TracBack routing for easy trackback to starting point and comes with a digital compass for accurate heading information. It runs on a rechargeable lithium battery providing up to 14 days of use in 10-minute tracking mode. Other features include the InReach weather forecast service, unlimited cloud storage and trip planning, and compatibility with Garmin devices and apps like Garmin Messenger app and Garmin Pilot app. The device has a rugged and compact design, measuring 2.04” x 3.90” x 1.03” and weighing just 3.5 oz.
